(IP) - Iran's ambassador to Turkmenistan said that the people of Turkmenistan appreciate the medical capacities of the Mashhad province of Iran.

Iran press/ Asia: Pointing to Iran's medical capacities, Iran's ambassador to Turkmenistan Gholam Abbas Arbab Khales in a meeting with the president of the Medical Faculty of Mashhad University said that the use of medical and pharmaceutical capacities at the Mashhad University of the Medical Faculty is welcomed by Iran's neighbors such as Turkmen people.

In a meeting, Arbab Khales stated Providing high-quality medical services to foreign patients is an important issue for Turkmenistan.

Iranian ambassador says holding a joint meeting in Mashhad or Ashgabat will provide the basis for the implementation of the memorandums of the two countries.

Pointing to the potential of Mashhad University, the president of the faculty Mohammad Ali Kiani stressed the University's potential in health, treatment, and research benefiting neighboring countries by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

"Turkmenistan is one of the neighboring countries whose patients can receive the medical services in some cities of Iran, including Dargaz, Quchan, and Mashhad," noted Kiani.

Kiani, elsewhere, pointed out the role of investors in the establishment of a free zone for treatment by Mashhad University of Medical Sciences 

In the end, he emphasized that the needs of patients in the fields of dentistry, dermatology, and endoscopy, which are provided in half a day, can be met in the free zone for treatment, and the rest of the medical services can be provided to Afghan patients by obtaining a visa.
