A member of the Russian State Duma announced that the comprehensive strategic partnership agreement between Russia and Iran is anticipated to be signed in Moscow by mid-January 2025.

Iran PressEurope: Konstantin Zatulin, a representative of the Russian State Duma, announced on Thursday that the Russia-Iran Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement will likely be signed in Moscow in mid-January 2025.

These statements were made after the American weekly Newsweek reported that the agreement will likely be signed before the inauguration of the US president-elect (January 20, 2025).

In late October, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated that the new strategic agreement would soon be ready for signing.

Recently, Kazem Jalali, the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Moscow, also emphasized that the document has been drafted and finalized and that there are no problems in concluding it.
