Iran Press/ Iran news: Iranian President Hassan Rouhani hailed unparalleled capacities and unique location of Kish Island and called for implementation of developmental and tourism projects in the island.
Iranian President made the remarks in a meeting with managing director of Kish Free Zone Gholamhossein Mozaffari on Sunday according to Iran Press.
Rouhani also stressed the need for creating and strengthening Kish Island tourism infrastructures to help attract further foreign tourists, especially from regional states.
"Given the fact that restrictions for buying real estates for double-national individuals were lifted, grounds are ready for absorbing capitals of Iranians living abroad," Iranian President said.
Construction of proper halls for holding international conferences, setting up exports base for handicrafts including carpet, medicinal herbs and establishing packaging industries based on international standards were among the cases stressed by Rouhani.
At the beginning of the meeting, managing director of Kish Free Zone Gholamhossein Mozaffari presented a report on capacities and capabilities of the Kish Island as well as the situation of the projects and ongoing measures in the Island.
New terminal of Kish International Airport, dredging jetty, refurbishing sports spaces are among the projects under implementation, Mozaffari said.
