The Minister of Roads and Urban Development at the inauguration ceremony of the 7th International Transport and Logistics Exhibition said that in the last year, we had a 33% growth in transit, which was despite the sanctions and the increase in resources.

Iran PressIran news: Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the 7th International Transportation Exhibition, Mehrdad Bazarpash, Minister of Roads and Urban Development, referring to the "Iran Road" macro map, said: "This comprehensive map was designed by the Ministry of Road to review the hardware and software of the country's transportation roads and determine the progress of the country."

He added, that despite all the limitations, unprecedented projects were put into operation. Various projects have been agreed upon between Iran, Armenia, Turkmenistan, and Azerbaijan, that should be implemented soon.

Also, Ruhollah Dehghani Firouzabadi, vice president for scientific and technology referring to road damages said: "When a road damage occurs, in addition to the damage to the infrastructure, it also causes capital, mental, economic and social damages which may exist for years."

He added: "Today, the most important and cheapest solutions are technological solutions that are not limited to accident points, and it is hoped that by employing ten thousand knowledge-based companies, the national program to reduce road damage will be achieved within the next five years."

Finally, six agreements were signed between the minister of road and urban development and the vice president for science and technology.
