Iran Press/ Africa: Iran's President Seyed Ebrahim Raisi, addressing the 7th summit of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) in Algeria on Saturday, condemned the continuation of the crimes committed by the Zionist regime against the Palestinians in Gaza and the support of the US and some Western countries for this genocide.
Presenting practical solutions and suggestions to stop the killing machine of the Zionist regime, he stated, "The current war is the confrontation of the axis of evil against the axis of honor. On one side of the front, there is an army that is waiting for more and stronger weapons and bombs from the US, and on the other side of the front, there are children who miss a bite of bread. Those who remain silent today will be slapped hard tomorrow. Today, Palestine is the yardstick of humanity, morality and conscience of human society."
Riais added: "The Western system, which was formed based on the colonialism of the countries, today is weaker and devoid of meaning than ever, and it considers its survival to be based on the continuation of the relationship between the dominant and the dominated."
Iran's President further added: "Nations such as the zealous nation of Algeria were able to free their one million martyrs from the heavy burden with their resistance and sacrifice, but the weight of this burden is still felt on the shoulders of some nations, including the oppressed nation of Palestine."
Raisi stated that the United Nations Charter has been unable to establish a ceasefire in Gaza due to the relentless support of the United States to the Zionist regime's war machine, adding: "The United States has fully provided political, weaponry, and the media support for the organized terrorism of the Zionist regime, and the US and European bombs are taking revenge on the Palestinian cause."
He emphasized: "If the US is looking for the non-expansion of war, they should stop lying and hypocrisy and stop sending weapons and bombs to kill Palestinians.'
The Iranian President added: "There are cries for justice for the oppressed people of Gaza from all over the world, from Latin America to Africa and Europe."
Raisi said: "The massacre of dozens of oppressed and hungry people who had gathered to prepare food, but were killed by the deliberate attacks of the Israeli terrorist army, is intolerable and requires a deterrent and international approach."
Iran is ready to become the energy hub of the region
Expressing Iran’s readiness to become a regional energy hub, Ebrahim Raisi said the country could turn into a safe route for the transfer and distribution of natural gas among suppliers and consumers.
He noted that those advantages have formed Iran’s strategy of increasing the production and export of natural gas and facilitating the regional nations’ access to this clean and value-creating energy.
He added: "The Islamic Republic of Iran, relying on its huge reserves of natural gas, its transit position and high technology, intends to find a role in the global gas market that is commensurate with these capacities by developing bilateral and multilateral cooperation with all countries."
Stating that our regional strategy is increasing the production and exports of natural gas and increasing the access of the nations of the region to this clean and value-creating energy, the president said: "The Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to become the energy hub of the region and a safe route for the distribution and transit of gas among producers and consumer markets."
He stated that the capacities created in Iran's gas industry have created a suitable environment for the member countries of the forum in the upstream and downstream areas of natural gas and its trade, and said: "I took this opportunity to attract international investors and member countries. I invite the assembly to participate in the projects of Iran's energy sector, including the projects of the natural gas sector."
The Iranian president further emphasized: "Iranian knowledge-based companies can create a successful example in interaction with member countries of the forum and in new models".
