Iran's President Ebrahim Raisi arrived in Algeria's capital Algiers on Saturday and was welcomed by his counterpart Abdul Majid Taboun.

Iran PressAfrica: Iran's President, Ebrahim Raisi, heading high-ranking political and economic delegations, went to Algeria at the formal invitation of his Algerian counterpart Abdul Majid Taboun.

Raisi is in Algeria to have bilateral consultations with his Algerian counterpart and participate in the 7th Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF).  

On the first day of the visit, President Raisi will participate in the forum and will give a speech, while meeting with other participating leaders and high-ranking officials, on the sidelines of the event.

Meeting with the Algerian President and signing several cooperation documents are among the plans scheduled for Raisi's visit to Algeria.  

The Iranian President's visit to Algeria is the fourth trip done so far by the Islamic Republic's presidents, after 14 years, since 2010.
