President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Masoud Pezhikian, at the beginning of his official visit to Russia, honored the unknown soldiers of World War II by visiting the Alexander Garden complex situated in Moscow's Red Square.

Iran Press/Europe: Russian Energy Minister Sergey Tsivilyov, who is also the head of the Russian side of the Joint Cooperation Commission between the two countries, accompanied the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran in this ceremony.

Masoud Pezeshkian landed in Moscow on Friday, January 18, following an official invitation from his counterpart Vladimir Putin. The visit is geared towards enhancing bilateral relations and finalizing a comprehensive strategic partnership agreement between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Russian Federation.

Pezeshkian will then have separate meetings with the Russian president and prime minister.

At the end of the talks between the high-level Iranian and Russian delegations headed by Pezdekian and Putin, the Tehran-Moscow Joint Comprehensive Strategic Treaty will be signed by the presidents of the two countries.
