Iran Press/America: Customers were waiting to either buy a gun or more ammunition. Gun sales in Northern California have reportedly gone up due to fear over the coronavirus outbreak.
The owner of one of the country’s largest gun shops in Charlotte North Carolina, told the Guardian that the scenes of mass buying at his store were virtually unprecedented. "This is only the second time in my 61 years of business that we’ve seen anything like this," he said, adding that the first occasion was the aftermath of the mass shooting at Sandy Hook elementary school in Connecticut in 2012.
Many people said they were looking for extra protection, primarily ammo, in case the virus shuts down most businesses.
According to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the United States currently has 3,487 cases of the coronavirus with 68 deaths.
