Iran Press/ Iran News: In an interview with IranPress, Mehdi Shakibaei, Deputy Secretary-General of the Society for the Defense of the Palestinian Nation, stated that Israel's goal in attacking various Palestinian areas and resistance positions is to try to gain political concessions inside occupied Palestine (occupied areas of 1948) to form a government.
"Now that the Israeli regime has failed militarily against the resistance, it has not only failed to gain a political advantage, but Netanyahu's political position has been severely shaken," Shakibaei said.
He added that the recent attack on the Gaza Strip was a limited conflict and was accompanied by the victory of the resistance. Still, the main war is inside the occupied territories, which led to internal anti-Netanyahu protests.
Netanyahu's political position is likely to be further shaken by escalating clashes in Quds over the Sheikh al-Jarrah area, as well as the spatial and temporal division of Al-Aqsa Mosque, Shakibaei said.
