Full Text of the Supreme Leader's Message:
In the Name of God, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
With profound regret, I received the painful news of the martyrdom of Dr. Ali Larijani, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council and my representative to that council, along with his noble son and a number of their colleagues.
Ali Larijani was a learned, visionary, intelligent, and committed figure with diverse experience in various political, military, security, cultural, and managerial domains. Nearly five decades of effective contribution in different fields had distinguished him as an exceptional and eminent personality.
The assassination highlights the victim's importance and the animosity of Islam's enemies. However, such acts will only strengthen the Islamic Republic. The perpetrators will face retribution for their crime.
I offer my sincere condolences for this painful loss.
