Speaking on the occasion of the anniversary of the liberation of southern Lebanon, Eid al-Fitr and Liberation, the Secretary-General of the Lebanese Hezbollah congratulated the victory of the Palestinian resistance against the occupying Israeli regime.

Iran PressMiddle East: Referring to the victory of the Palestinian resistance against the Israelis in the recent war in the Gaza Strip, Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah stated that the Palestinian resistance groups and the commanders of their military branches were glorious in the recent battle.

Hezbollah's secretary-general went on to say that what Gaza offered in the battle of Saif al-Quds was a historic and unique step in the history of the war against the Israeli enemy.

The Battle of Saif al-Quds showed an issue that the Israelis must understand and reconsider in their assessments, knowing that the aggression in Al-Quds and Al-Aqsa Mosque is different from any other aggression they commit.

"The historic development in the battle of Saif al-Quds was that Gaza went to war to defend al-Quds and its people, not to protect Gaza," he added.

In his speech, the Secretary-General of Hezbollah also mentioned the martyrs of Lebanon and Palestine, the Arab countries and the Resistance Front on the path to the liberation of southern Lebanon, including the great role of the martyr of the resistance, Lieutenant General Ghassem Soleimani.

"We appreciate the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Syrian government for their widespread support for the resistance."

Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah said that the results of the victory in 2000 were strategic, adding that the victory of the Lebanese nation and resistance in 2000 put the issue of Palestine and the conflict in different strategic directions. 219
