Tehran (IP) - Iran's Attorney-General said that the MKO's imminent international court of trial will be held soon to bring the West-backed criminals to justice.

Iran PressIran News: Mohammad-Jafar Montazeri said on Wednesday that a 700-page indictment was filed in the Judiciary against the MKO along with a list of terrorist members of the organization and was sent to the court.

Making the remarks in a ceremony held to commemorate the 42nd anniversary of Tir 7 occasion in Tehran, Montazeri said that the court will be held in the near future.

He said that after the victory of the Islamic Revolution, the MKO adopted two approaches against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

One approach was to make Imam Khomeini helpless and without assistance, so they removed the effective and useful figures of the Revolution and then tried to deprive the Revolution of its second pillar, which was the presence and support of the people for the Islamic Republic, Montazeri explained.

The MKO declared an armed war against the Islamic Revolution on June 20, 1981, carried out assassinations in Iran in order to omit Imam Khomeini's useful fellows and intimidated the people so that they get cold feet to support the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Today (Wednesday), June 28th (7th day of Tir in the Iranian calendar), is the anniversary of the explosion of the office of the Islamic Republic Party by the terrorist organization of the Mojahedin-e Khalq (MKO) which led to the martyrdom of Ayatollah Mohammad Beheshti (the then Chief of Iran's High Court and one of the figures who helped in compilation of the country's Constitution) and 72 of his companions.
