Iran Press/ Middle East: Lebanese authorities announced on Monday, August 17, that the ongoing state of emergency in Beirut has been extended until September 18.
The Lebanese parliament voted for the state of emergency following the Port of Beirut explosion on August 4.
A powerful explosion took place on August 4 at warehouse No. 12 in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, causing extensive financial and human losses.
The blast has so far killed more than 177 people and injured about 6,000, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health. 207
