Iranian Ambassador held a meeting with Lebanese Maronite Christian bishop

The Iranian ambassador in Beirut has said that Tehran is ready to help Lebanon and does not intend to interfere in the internal affairs of this country.

Iran PressMiddle East: "Tehran is ready to assist Lebanon in line of cooperating with the Lebanese government," Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon Mohammad Jalal Firouznia said on Thursday during a meeting with Lebanese Maronite Christian bishop.

After the meeting, the Iranian ambassador stated: "In this meeting, Iran's stance on strengthening Lebanon's national unity was emphasized."

The Iranian ambassador to Lebanon also stressed yesterday (Wednesday) that he was ready to meet with Lebanese Prime Minister Hassan Diab, and that Iran is ready to do anything to expand cooperation and help Lebanon.  207/219
