Iran Press/ Middle East: Hamas Spokesman Fawzi Barhoum said the ban on prayers at the Ibrahimi Mosque is the continuation of organized violations against the Palestinian people and their rights and sanctities, and the international silence and haste of some parties to normalize relations with the Zionist regime has made this regime rude to do such things.
He added that the Zionist regime's policies against the Palestinian nation, land, and sanctities do not change the idea of resistance and the Palestinian revolutionary youth resistance in the West Bank.
Barhoum emphasized: "Resistance against the occupier and defending the rights of our nation is a sacred task and everyone's duty and no one should shy away from it."
"This requires an increase in joint national work in the resistance arenas, especially in the West Bank and al-Quds, and deterrence against the occupier will surely be achieved," he added.
The doors of the Ibrahimi Mosque in Al-Khalil, which was closed due to the coronavirus, reopened on Tuesday 26 May, after three months.
According to the Al-Quds Al-Arabi newspaper, a large number of Palestinians arrived at the Ibrahimi Mosque this morning Friday 29 May to offer the morning prayer, however, under the pretext of coronavirus, the Israeli military did not allow dozens of Palestinians to enter the sacred place.
This is while Zionist forces raided the house of the preacher of Al-Aqsa Mosque and arrested him.
Al-Jazeera reported today Friday 29 May that Israeli forces raided the home of Sheikh Ekrima Sa'id Sabri, a preacher at Al-Aqsa Mosque, and arrested him.
This is not the first time that the forces of the occupying regime have arrested the preacher of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Earlier, dozens of regime officers attacked Sheikh Ekrima's house. He was threatened that if he once again invites people to pray at the Al-Aqsa Mosque, he would not see the mosque except in pictures.
