Dhaka (IP): The Bangladesh Islamic Andolan organized a massive demonstration and mass march in Dhaka to condemn Israel's brutal actions in Gaza and to demand the recognition of an independent Palestinian state.

Iran Press/Asia: Thousands of leaders and activists from the Islamic Andolan of Bangladesh participated in the protest program on Friday.

This marked the first large-scale demonstration in Bangladesh since Israel's aggression in Gaza began on October 7.

During the protest, the international community, including the United Nations, was urged to declare Palestine as an independent state. Additionally, the Bangladeshi government was called upon to play a strong role in recognizing Palestine as an independent Muslim state.

Demonstrators and marchers were seen carrying placards adorned with Palestinian flags and images of victims affected by Israel's violent attacks on Gaza. Slogans denouncing Israel and the United Nations echoed through the streets.

Furthermore, justice was demanded from the United States for its support of Israel through the provision of weapons and financial aid. Many protesters also held signs advocating for the boycott of Israeli products, including Pepsi, Coca-Cola, and KFC.

Following Friday prayers, leaders and activists from the Islamic movement took to the road before Baitul Mukarram to demonstrate. Afterward, thousands of participants circled a significant 4 km stretch in Dhaka, holding a 300-meter-long Palestinian flag as a symbol of solidarity. 204
