IP - The Israeli regime continues airstrikes on Beirut which kicked off late Saturday. So far two people were killed and 18 others injured.

Iran Press/ West Asia: Israel on late Saturday targeted Beirut with at least four salvos of missiles.

Lebanon Health Ministry announced that the two were killed in Israeli airstrikes at "Jiyeh" 20km away from Beirut and 18 others were wounded.

Aid and rescue teams are working on the sites of huge blasts.

According to early reports more than 30 buildings have been damaged and destroyed in Israeli continuous airstrikes on southern Beirut.

According to Lebanese sources, one of the heaviest blasts happened when Israeli warplanes targetted a ''Total Energies gas station'' in the Dahyeh district of southern Beirut.

This comes amid tensions between French President Macron and Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu after the French called for a halt on selling arms to Israel and Netanyahu called the French president's remarks disgraceful.

Twenty-five people were killed and 127 wounded in Israeli strikes on Lebanon on Friday, the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health says in a statement.
