Tehran (IP) - The commander of the IRGC Navy's second region announced the seizure of a foreign oil tanker carrying one million liters of smuggled fuel in the Persian Gulf.

Iran PressIran news: Rear Admiral Ramezan Zirahi, the commander of IRGC Navy's second region, stated that a foreign vessel with over one million liters of smuggled fuel was apprehended in the Persian Gulf.

Rear Admiral Ramezan Zirahi, also said that the ship had military support from the United States at the time of the foreclosure operation.

He further emphasized that the IRGC Navy's vigilance, accuracy, and authoritative moves successfully thwarted what he described as illegal and unprofessional actions by American forces in the Persian Gulf.

Rear Admiral Ramezan Zirahi, also revealed that on July 6th, forces from the second region of the IRGC Navy were inspecting a floating ship named NADA2 when American troops attempted to impede their action.

Zirahi added that during the seizure, it was discovered that the ship's captain was communicating with a U.S. control and command center in the region.

Recorded conversations revealed that a U.S. operator instructed the ship's captain to shut off its engine until American military forces arrived to provide assistance.
