Baghdad(IP)- As thousands of Arbaeen pilgrims from Pakistan and Afghanistan cross Iranian borders every day to get holy shrines during Arbaeen March in Iraq, In a telephone conversation with his Pakistani counterpart, Iraq's Interior Minister emphasized the determination of the Iraqi government to provide a safe and suitable environment for all foreign Arbaeen pilgrims.

Iran PressAsia: Every year, a group of Afghan and Pakistani pilgrims go to Iraq for the Arbaeen pilgrimage after entering Iran in the East from Rimdan and Mirjaveh terminals, as the two official crossings, which have been established since 1998 by the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Previously, with the decision of the Iraqi side, restrictions were imposed on Afghan and Pakistani pilgrims, although it was assumed that the reason for this was the lack of coherent and legal relations between the ruling government in this country and Iraq.

Moreover, there was an Arbaeen headquarters in Afghanistan, and arrangements were made to facilitate the movement of pilgrims. But the Taliban did not form such a headquarters to follow up on the process of sending Arbaeen pilgrims to holy shrines.

According to Iran Press, citing Al-Alam, the Iraqi Minister of Interior Minister, Othman al-Ghanmi, in a phone call with his Pakistani Counterpart Rana Sanaullah Khan, discussed the process of sending Pakistani pilgrims to the holy city of Karbala and ways to strengthen bilateral relations between Iraq and Pakistan.
