In the ongoing 2024 Paris Paralympic Games, Iranian taekwondo athlete Zahra Rahimi clinched the silver medal in the women's -52 kg category.

Iran PressEurope:  The final match took place in the historic Grand Palais hall on the first day of the Paralympic Para-Taekwondo competitions.

 Rahimi advanced to the final after defeating opponents from China, Brazil, and Georgia. In the decisive match, she faced Sornjav Oulambayar from Mongolia.

Despite a hard-fought battle, Rahimi was defeated 5-2, securing the silver medal.

This achievement marks Iran's first medal at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, officially placing the country on the medal table.
