Tehran (IP) - The Speakers of the Iranian and Vietnamese Parliaments stress the realization trade increase between the two countries up to $2 billion.

Iran PressIran News: A Vietnamese Parliamentary delegation headed by the county's Chairman of National Assembly Vuong Dinh Hue, arrived in Iran on Tuesday on the occasion of the 50th anniversary Iran-Vietnam ties. 

Holding a joint press conference with his Vietnamese counterpart Vuong Dinh Hue, the Speaker of Iran's Parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, said the acceleration of economic and scientific cooperation between the two countries, including banking, fishery, treatment, and nano-technology, were discussed in the meeting.

Facilitation of visa issuance, Tehran-Hanoi direct flight, cultural and scientific cooperation between the two countries' universities, as well as other parliamentary cooperations at the regional and international forums such as the Asian Parliamentarians' Union (APU) and Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA). 

Vuong Dinh Hue, for his part, told reporters that investment, agriculture, and banking cooperation, as well as open dialogues between the two countries, were among the points of discussion between the two parliamentary officials. 

Besides the $2 billion barter trade, which was agreed by the two countries before the corona pandemic, Vong pointed to such areas of cooperation as people diplomacy, sports, culture, and research.  

He referred to the formation of joint parliamentary commissions and friendship groups as the ways to strengthen Vietnam-Iran parliamentary ties through the use the existing experiences. 

The Vietnamese speaker officially invited his Iranian counterpart to participate in the parliamentary meeting to be held in Hanoi.
