The Deputy Speaker of Iran's Parliament and the head of the Uzbek Parliamentary Board put emphasis on both sides' efforts to shore up political, economic, and cultural ties.

Iran PressAfrica: On the sidelines of the meeting of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) on Thursday, Mojataba Zonnour and the head of the Uzbek Parliamentary Board described the level of existing interactions between the two countries as good but stressed that there is yet to reach the desired level of relations. 

During the meeting between the Iranian and Uzbek sides, the two sides were supposed to draft cooperation agreements in regional and international arenas such as the International Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) to be signed by the Speakers of the two countries' parliaments. 

Iranian Deputy Parliament Speaker arrived in Angola to take part in the 147th meeting of the International Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) that began on October 23 and is underway until October 27.  219
