Iran (IP) - Iran successfully launched three satellites into orbit from the earth by using the Simorgh satellite carrier.

Iran Press/Iran news: The Simorgh satellite carrier, which was built by Iran's Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics, successfully placed the Mahda satellite and two nanosatellites, Keyhan 2 and Hatef 1, from the Imam Khomeini (RA) base into an elliptical orbit with a minimum altitude of 450 km and a maximum altitude of 1100 km.

Mahda satellite is a research satellite that was designed, built, assembled, and tested at the Iranian Space Research Institute.

Keyhan 2 and Hatef 1 nanosatellites have been designed and made ready to be launched by Iran Electronic Industries Company (Sairan).

The Simorgh is a two-stage, liquid-fueled space launch vehicle (SLV) designed and manufactured by Iranian scientists.

Mahda is a 32 kg satellite made by the Iran Space Research Institute, which is designed and built to test advanced satellite subsystems.

Hatef 1 nanosatellite is a series of cubic satellites manufactured by Sairan company weighing less than 10 kg to prove the technology of narrowband communication with the usage in the Internet of Things.

Earlier, Iran successfully launched a satellite into a 750 km orbit from the earth by using the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corp's Qaim 100 satellite carrier.
