Moscow(IP)- Ahmad Mortazavi Moghadam, the head of Iran's Supreme Court, arrived in Moscow on Monday evening in a bid to talk and exchange ideas with the judicial authorities of the Russian Federation.

Iran PressEurope: Iran and Russia share strategic interests in bilateral fields, especially economic, military and security relations, as well as regional and international issues such as confronting American unilateralism, and this has been one of the main factors of close cooperation between the two sides in recent years.

According to IRNA; Seyyed Ahmed Mortazavi Moghadam is going to have separate meetings with the Chairman and Director General of the Supreme Court Department as well as the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation on Tuesday.

On Wednesday, Mortazavi Moghadam will also meet with the head of the Russian State Duma, the Minister of Justice and the head of the Russian  arbitration court.

Separate meetings with the President of the Constitutional Court and the President of the Third Court of Appeal of Russia are planned for Thursday by the President of the Supreme Court in St. Petersburg.

On Friday, at the end of his trip to Russia, Mortazavi Moghadam will leave Moscow for Tehran.

The head of Iran's Supreme Court visited this country last year to participate in the ceremony of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Supreme Court of Russia.
