Iran Press/ Iran News: In a message, President Hassan Rouhani described this year's Muharram month as a glorious manifestation of the love of the mourners of Hussein (AS) and emphasized Iran's religious civil society has shone in altruism, tolerance, and responsibility, and that undoubtedly it will be an investment for the future of Iran.
Rouhani described the pious and committed behavior of the people in holding their glorious and varied mourning ceremonies, along with strict observation of the health protocols, stemming from the rich religious culture of the people and their commitment to humanitarian and altruistic issues.
"Muharram, like Nowruz and Ramadan this year, became an opportunity for Iranians to show collective rationality and responsibility; Hard days have passed and hard days are passing, but our civic and spiritual reserves gained through these difficult times will make Iran more capable in following the path," he noted.
The Iranian President considered Muharram not only for the Shi'as but for all the people of Iran and all the free people of the world, which he said is a reminder of the values that lead the society to morality, freedom, and belief in "good" beyond time and place.
