Tehran (IP) - Iran's Police Chief highlighted Iran's police extraordinary structure who are safeguarding borders, maintains security, and fight against terrorism.

Iran PressIran news: Vietnam's Public Security Minister Tô Lâm met Iran's Police Chief, Ahmad-Reza Radan in Tehran on May 21, 2023.

Ahmad-Reza Radan emphasized transferring experiences that have been gained via border guarding, and other security fields to Vietnam, as Iran's border guards are very elite and are considered one of the strong forces in the region.

He further stated: Fighting against drug and goods smuggling, is the other way that the two countries can cooperate.

He added: Discovering between 600-1000 tons of narcotics every year, Iran's anti-narcotics police gain valuable global experiences and turned to one of the developed ones in the region and the world.

He stated: Iran's police are also active in the field of cybercrimes.

Radan said: Iran has special universities for the training of police forces, and it also has an international center for the training and educating of police forces from other countries, so, the two countries can have extensive cooperation in the training sector.

Both sides expressed hope that they will have valuable cooperation in various fields, and implement the signed MoUs as soon as possible.
