Iran Press/Iran news: Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman Seyyed Abbas Mousavi in his weekly press conference in response to Iran Press correspondent's question referred to Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Adel al-Jubeir's recent remarks in which accused Iran of "treading the path of darkness and destruction" and said, "Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Adel al-Jubeir occasionally says something that has little to do with the realities and policies of the Saudi government and the Saudi regime against us."
The Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson went on to say: "I responded to his rhetoric yesterday, and we do not find the terms and conditions that they set very convincing. Both he and a number of officials of other countries in the region had irrelevant remarks and conditions that we responded duly. That the Islamic Republic of Iran wants a dialogue, wants a secure and stable region, should not make them think that they can set terms and conditions as they wish."
"We reaffirm that the Islamic Republic of Iran considers its neighbors from the north, south, east, and west as its main foreign policy priority and has shown that in practice. But they want to lose this opportunity by continuing their accusations, and that is up to them," he added.
Mousavi also denounced recent riots in different cities of Iran, saying that the right of people to protest is recognized within the constitutional law and everyone can protest within the law; however, the riots are condemned and saboteurs are different from people, and any kind of foreign interference and abuse is strongly condemned, too.205/219
