Tehran (IP): The Managing director of the Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO) underscored that the naval sector had always been one step ahead of the US sanctions.

Iran PressIran News: "The situation was difficult, but there was no delay in import and export of goods even for one day, and the Iranian maritime sector is always one step ahead of the US sanctions," said Ali Akbar Safaei, Managing director of the Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization said, referring to the intensification of US sanctions against Iran in recent years.

Stating that the US sanctions still exist, he said: " Some days, they were about to create a naval siege on Iran and imposed sanctions, but we and the maritime transport activists were able to overcome the difficulties."

He added: "Now the US has changed its policy in sanction and they seek to close the water ways for Iran's trade; hewever, Iran's strategy is to neutralize the restrictions.”
