Iran Press/ Iran news: The Leader of the Islamic Revolution this evening (Tuesday) in a video meeting with representatives of student organizations, referring to the basic strategy of seeking evolution, the necessity of creating a leap and diligent movement with innovation in methods and functions in all areas of governance and parts of public lifestyle, emphasized the importance of the high turn-out in the presidential election and explained the important effects of this participation.
Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei added: " a good and desirable person should be elected who would be a believer, a revolutionary, competent, popular, full of hope, a believer in youth and domestic potential, and truly just and anti-corruption."
Expressing deep regret and strong condemnation of the two most recent bitter and bloody incidents in the Islamic world, namely in Afghanistan and Palestine, the Leader of the Revolution said: “May God curses the criminals who martyred the oppressed and the innocent Afghan students, and by martyring these teenage girls, they expanded the concept of crime to such an extent.”
Iran's Leader also referred to the brutal and cruel crimes of the Zionists in Al-Aqsa Mosque, Holy Quds and other areas of Palestine, saying: "These crimes are before the eyes of the world and everyone must do their duty by condemning it."
Praising the awakening, perseverance, and determination of the Palestinian people, Ayatollah Khamenei added: "The Zionists do not understand anything but the language of force, so the Palestinians must increase their power and resistance to force the criminals to surrender and halt their barbaric acts."
Ayatollah Khamenei, in explaining his main argument, the issue of seeking changes and evolution, added: “The purpose and goal of transformation is to preserve and strengthen the basic principles and lines of the revolution, of course, by innovating in methods.”
Referring to the use of the concept of change in the literature of Western countries opposed to Iran and the words of those who are mainly inclined to the West inside, the Leader highlighted: "Contrary to our purpose and logic, their purpose is a change in the principles and foundations of the revolution which in fact rejecting the revolution is backwardness and is considered reactionary, so one must be careful in the sense of the word transformation.
Explaining the reason for the country's need for transformation, the Leader of the Revolution said: "Apart from many advances and successes in recent decades, we are suffering from chronic backwardness and problems that cannot be cured by normal movements and need extraordinary transformation and movement which this need is one of the necessities of this period of the revolution to realize the Second Step”.
Iranian Leader blamed the backwardness on some negligence, bias and gradual distancing from the revolutionary line in recent decades, saying: "As a result, many capacities and opportunities have been neglected and have damaged national interests." 219
