Tehran (IP) - Iran's Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei in the sermons of Eid al-Fitr prayers said that the Israeli regime made a mistake and must be punished and it shall be.

Iran PressIran news: Iran's Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei in sermons of Eid-al Fitr prayers stated that Western countries by supporting the Israeli regime unveiled their true evil nature.

On the blessed Eid al-Fitr, the Eid of servitude, the faithful people of Islamic Iran stood in prayer before the Almighty God in gratitude for a month of fasting and worship and asked for the best from the Almighty God.

Referring to the Israeli attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus which led to the martyrdom of Seven military advisors, Ayatollah Khamenei stated that consulates and embassy offices of any government in any country represent the territory of that country.

"The evil Israeli regime made a mistake and must be punished and it shall be, Iran's Leader stressed.

Ayatollah Khamenei lashed out at the regime for its war on Gaza, which he said was continued and even intensified during the fasting month of Ramadan.

Iran's leader noting that the Zionist regime killed over thirty thousand defenseless Palestinians in the last six months, raised the question of why the West and those human rights claimants were silent in this regard.

“Where are those whose cacophonous voice on human rights deafen the ears of the world? Are these not human beings? Don’t they have any rights?” he added.

Iran's Leader went on to say: “It was right that they prevented the crimes of this regime in this disaster, However, the Western governments did not fulfill their duty. Some spoke in support of the people [in Gaza], but in practice they not only failed to prevent but also contributed to [the war], especially the arrogant and cruel government of the US and UK."
