Iran Press/ America:The 2022 Freestyle Wrestling World Cup is being held since December 19 and will last until 20th of December in Iowa City, USA.
Iranian freestylers faced the world team in their second match at 5:30 AM today (Sunday) and won 6-4 and reached the finals.
The final match of the World Cup will be held tomorrow morning (Monday) at 3:30 AM between Iran and USA.
USA freestyle wrestling team also defeated Georgia 10-0, and Mongolia by 7-3 to reach into the final match of the World Cup.
In the other match held in Group A, the Georgian team won against Mongolia 7-3 and finished as the second team in the group, which was ranked as the second team to fight with the world's selected team for the third title.
During the 48 times of holding competitions, 15 championships were registered under the name of the former Soviet Union (before the collapse) and 14 times the USA team stood on the podium of the championships.

After these two, Russia, Iran, the Republic of Azerbaijan, and Cuba have respectively won 7, 8, 2, and once championship positions in these competitions.
Iran won the World Cup for the first time in 1996 in Tehran and repeated this championship for the second time 10 years later, in 2006 in Sari city, Mazandaran Province.
After that, from 2012 to 2017, Iran won the World Cup 6 consecutive times, 3 of which were hosted by Los Angeles (from 2014 to 2016).
In 2014, 2015, and 2016, the national freestyle wrestling team of Iran stood on the championship platform above all contenders and competitors in the United States in 2014, 2015, and 2016, so the anthem of the Islamic Republic of Iran resonated in the United States.
