In the continuation of the world championships of the first five weights of the freestyle wrestling competition under 23 years old in Spain, the Iranian representatives of 97 and 70 kg weights won a gold and a silver medal, respectively.

Iran PressIran News: The first five weight competitions of the under-23 freestyle wrestling competition were held on Friday and Saturday in the city of Ponte Vedra, Spain, and at the end, for the Iranian team, Amir Ali Azarpira won the gold medal in 97 kg and Amir Mohammad Yazdani won the silver medal in 70 kg.

In the 97 kg, Amir Ali Azarpira defeated Tanner Sloan from America in the final match with a score of 5:3 and snatched the gold medal.

Also, Amir Mohammad Yazdani won the silver medal in the 70 kg weight category, defeating Giorgi Al-Bakidze, the European under-23 champion from Georgia, with a score of 8:4.

At the end of the first five weight competitions and in the team ranking, Georgia stood first place with 76 points, Ukraine is second with 63 points, and Iran is in third place with 59 points. Turkey, the US and Armenia are in fourth to sixth places with 48, 47, and 46 points, respectively. 219
