Bahram Qasemi referred to unfounded claims against Iran as indicating weakness of some regional countries in facing realities in the region and the world.

"Unfortunately, instead of coming out of the present unacceptable conditions of the region, political and diplomatic meetings between the officials of some countries have turned out to level baseless allegations against regional countries", Iran’s foreign ministry spokesman added.

Bahram Qasemi went on to denounce “repeating the illusionary allegations and insisting on following the wrong path which has been tested before by them many times and which has borne no fruits but just turning the vicious circle of regional issues".

But Iran’s foreign ministry spokesman said at present situation “we need wisdom and realism’.

‘The statement by Riyadh and Cairo will lead the region towards long-time animosity, fear-mongering and falsely regarding others as threats,” Qasemi concluded.

Such approach “will result in nothing, but backwardness, divergence and paving the way for enemies to capitalize on enemies and ill-wishers to capitalize on them’, Iran’s foreign ministry spokesman noted.

Iranian Foreign Ministry also condemned the idea of Iran’s intervention in regional countries.

“Iran has always prioritized neighboring nations in its foreign policy and has used all means to address regional disputes and to promote convergence towards establishing security and stability in the region,’ Qasemi  also added.
