Cairo (IP) – Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi met with his Egyptian counterpart Badr Abdelatty in Cairo on Wednesday to discuss key regional developments, marking a significant diplomatic exchange amid escalating tensions in West Asia.

Iran Press/ West Asia: Arriving in the Egyptian capital late Wednesday, Araghchi’s talks with Abdelatty focused on pivotal regional issues, with both diplomats sharing their views on the ongoing crisis in Gaza and Lebanon.

The meeting in Cairo is part of Araghchi’s broader regional tour, aimed at bolstering diplomatic ties and addressing urgent regional conflicts. Egypt is the eighth stop on his tour, which has taken him to Lebanon, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Iraq, and Oman over the past week.

Araghchi's intensified diplomatic efforts come in response to escalating Israeli genocide in Gaza and Lebanon. Iran has been pushing for a ceasefire, advocating for stronger international intervention to halt the ongoing attacks on Palestinian and Lebanese civilians.
