Iran Press/Iran news: The first round of Uzbekistan's parliament elections was held on Sunday, with 5 political parties competing with each other.
Seyyed Abbas Mousavi offered congratulations to Uzbek nation and government.
In the elections, Uzbekistan Liberal Democratic Party (UzLiDeP), which is affiliated to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, gained the highest number of the seats that were 43 seats out of 128.
The second round of Uzbekistan's parliamentary elections will be held early next year (2020).
In the second round of Uzbekistan's parliamentary elections, the fate of the remaining 22 seats will be determined.
The Uzbek parliament has 150 seats.
