Moscow(IP)-The Political Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia emphasized the necessity of cooperation between the two countries to strengthen the approach of multilateralism, confront unilateralism and adhere to the principles contained in the United Nations Charter.

Iran PressEurope: Iran and Russia share strategic interests in bilateral fields, especially economic, military, and security relations, as well as regional and international issues such as confronting American unilateralism, and this has been one of the main factors of close cooperation between the two sides in recent years.

In the meeting between Iran's Political Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ali Bagheri Kani, and Russia's Deputy Foreign Minister, Sergei Ryabkov, in Moscow, the two sides discussed efforts to prevent instrumental, political abuse and selective treatment of human rights issues by the Western powers.

It should be mentioned that Ali Bagheri Kani met and talked with Qatar's Deputy Foreign Minister on Tuesday during his trip to Doha.
