Iran logs 40 COVID deaths in 24 hrs

Tehran (IP) – Iran's Health Ministry announced on Tuesday that 40 death cases due to COVID-19 had been registered during the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 131,474.

Iran PressIran news: According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to December 28, 2021, on Tuesday, a total number of 6,188,857 people in the country have contracted COVID-19, and 6,030,632 of the infected people recovered.

Newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 were 2,128 cases, of whom 351 patients were hospitalized.

2,751 COVID-19 patients are in intensive care units (ICU).

So far, 41,693,121 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across Iran.

So far, 59,656,164 people have received the first dose of the COVID vaccine, 51,547,746 have received the second dose, 6,756,119 have received the third dose, and the total number of vaccines injected in the country reached 117,960,029 doses.
