Tehran (IP)- Iran's Minister of Science, Research, and Technology announced Tehran's readiness to establish a joint science and technology park in Venezuela.

Iran PressIran news: The 9th Joint Economic Commission of Iran and Venezuela, which had started in Tehran on Sunday, ended with the signing of cooperation documents on Tuesday in Tehran.

Mohammad Ali Zolfi Gol, in a meeting with the vice president of Venezuela for Science, Technology, Education, and Health Gabriela Jimenez, in Tehran, said that Iran has valuable experiences in the field of science and technology with 49 science and technology parks and 7,500 technological companies and numerous knowledge-based companies.

The Minister of Science, Research, and Technology of Iran also announced his readiness to travel to Venezuela and visit the country's scientific centers and said that activating the joint committee can help increase scientific cooperation between the two countries.

Gabriela Jimenez, Venezuelan VP, also stated that the will of the two countries to increase scientific and technological cooperation is serious, and a roadmap for the development of the cooperation should be drawn.

At the end of the meeting, the two sides inked a memorandum of understanding on scientific and technological cooperation.
