Tehran (IP) - The simultaneous opening ceremony of 27 port and marine projects was held at the Ministery of Roads and Urban Development on 13 June with the presence of Mehrdad Bazarpash, the Minister of Roads and Urban Development.

Iran Press/Iran news: These 27 port and marine projects in the provinces of Hormozgan, Khuzestan, Bushehr, Sistan and Baluchestan, Mazandaran, and Gilan were inaugurated via a video conference with the presence of Mehrdad Bazarpash; the Minister of Roads and Urban Development and a group of deputies and managers of this ministry, as well as Ali Akbar Safai, CEO and members of the Board of Directors of the Ports and Maritime Organization.

In this ceremony, the implementation of 23 important infrastructure projects would begin in the provinces of Hormozgan, Khuzestan, Sistan and Baluchistan, Mazandaran, and Gilan.

The Minister of Roads and Urban Development, attending the ceremony, said: "The sea-based economy was emphasized by the late President martyred Seyed Ebrahim Raisi and it is also highlighted in the policies of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, meanwhile it is one of the hopes for the future development of the country."

He stated: "The inauguration of projects in 6 coastal provinces started today."

Mehrdad Bazarpash stated: "The statistics and information related to these projects should reach the investors."

He said: "A significant part of the investments that have been used so far or will be exploited in the future have been provided by the private sector."

Iran's Minister of Roads added: "In the trips made to the countries of the region, the attractiveness of investing in Iran's resources has always been mentioned, and the construction and development of 27 coastal cities was also on the agenda."
