Iran Press/Iran News: Attending a press conference on Wednesday morning, Zafarqandi said that after 6 months fighting coronavirus, we witnessed proper control by the efforts of people and medical staff, but shortly after it the infected cases increased sharply.
Normalizing the conditions regarding this disease, traveling, holding ceremonies and gatherings were the main causes of the increase in the number of infected cases and death toll, he highlighted.
He went on to say that some countries like South Korea, Japan, and Vietnam have acted well in fighting coronavirus and it has disappeared in some countries.
Referring to the fact that long quarantine is not possible due to economic condition and people’s daily need, he said that it does not mean that we forget about this pandemic, some times faster sometimes slower but we must not stop.
More than 5000 of doctors and nurses and 10,000 medical staff suffered from COVID-19, and 140 of them lost their lives, the official noted.
We need supervision and observance on implementing health protocols, we have resumed some activities but health protocols were neglected, Zafarqandi added.
We have started a movement called ”Empathy with health advocators” and will continue till 22nd of August (Doctor’s Day)to emphasize the fact that their lives are honored and we know that they are working hard, he concluded.
