IRGC navy is US nightmare in Persian Gulf: Commander
Tehran (IP) - Referring to the existence of underground speedboat and missile underground cities in southern Iran, the Commander of the Navy of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said that IRGC Navy is a nightmare for the United States in the Persian Gulf.
Iran Press/Iran News: The Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy Admiral Alireza Tangsiri said on Sunday, the underground cities had spread to all the coasts of southern Iran, adding IRGC has underground cities with speedboat missile launchers and will display them whenever necessary.
Referring to the presence of the IRGC navy in the Persian Gulf and its mission to protect the islands, coasts, oil rigs, and traffic control in the Strait of Hormuz, Admiral Tangsiri said with an illegal presence in the Persian Gulf, Americans cannot set a safe haven for themselves.
Emphasizing that the Americans are the cause of insecurity in the Persian Gulf and should leave the region as soon as possible, the Commander of the IRGC's Navy added: "If the interests and authority of the Islamic Republic are endangered, the IRGC's navy will stand with all its might against the Americans."
Admiral Tangsiri went on to say that the entry of nuclear-powered vessels into the Persian Gulf is prohibited by environmental law and added: If something happens to nuclear-powered vessels, no living creature will survive, making it impossible for countries in the region to access safe water.
Noting to the IRGC intelligence dominance in the Persian Gulf, Tangsiri added: "In the near future new long-range missiles and advanced vessels will be unveiled."
