Iran Press/Iran News: Iran's First Vice President Eshaq Jahangiri stated in a tweet on Wednesday 29 April, "Today is the National Day of the Persian Gulf, a name that history does not allow to be falsified, and a place where peace and coexistence in the region, blocks the way for the intervention and evil of the dominators."
Jahangiri added, "The Persian Gulf is always a field of coexistence and real cooperation of all neighbors, and the government and the people of Iran have always been ready for this, and in this global crisis, they are even more prepared."
The 10th of Ordibehesht (April 30), which is the anniversary of the expulsion of the Portuguese from Hormoz Island, was named the National Day of the Persian Gulf by the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution.
