Iran Press/Iran News: Sima Sadat Lari on Wednesday reported the latest data on the coronavirus in the country and the deaths caused by the virus.
The Health Ministry spokeswoman added: "According to the definitive laboratory findings and from yesterday to 24 June, 2,531 new patients with COVID-19 were diagnosed in the country and the number of patients with this disease reached 212,501.
340 of the new patients were hospitalized.
Fortunately, 172,096 patients have recovered and discharged so far, Lari added.
The Spokeswoman said: "Unfortunately, in the past 24 hours, 133 COVID-19 patients have lost their lives, and 9,996 people have lost their lives in the country to date."
The official stated: "2,869 patients are in intensive care units."
So far, around 1,502,525 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted in the country," the Health Ministry spokeswoman said.
According to the spokeswoman, the provinces of Khuzestan, Kurdistan, Hormozgan, Bushehr, and some areas of Fars, and Lorestan provinces are still on alert.
