Tehran (IP)- Iran's first vice president said that during the Corona outbreak, the country's technology and manufacturing sectors managed to bring the ventilator's production capacity to meet domestic demand, and also to export 50% of this product.

Iran Press/Iran News: Eshaq Jahangiri in a meeting with senior officials of the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology on Monday said that Iran's universities and scientific centers have made great achievements and work to solve the problems ahead.

He added that the results of the research and studies of the universities give hope, joy, and encouragement to the people of Iran and make them optimistic and hopeful about the future of the country.

Jahangiri pointed to the reasons for Iran's success in the Coronavirus situation and said that capacities created in the technology sector alleviated much of the initial concern about providing equipment to fight the coronavirus.

Jahangiri noted: "Those who are familiar with production and industry know that it takes 2 to 3 years from the time we intend to produce or create an industry to the time we can launch the production line."

He added: "During the Corona outbreak, the country's technology and manufacturing sectors managed to reach a point within 4 months, that today in Khorasan Razavi, the production capacity of ventilators has increased to the extent that 50% of the production is exported and developed countries are applying for these products."

The first vice president added: "These achievements are the result of training specialists in the country's universities who have been able to provide the necessary equipment to deal with the coronavirus in abundance, and we must protect and support these specialists."
