Rouhani: Iran enters third phase of managing COVID-19

Tehran (IP) - Today, Iran has entered the third phase of managing COVID-19 in some parts of the country, the President said on Thursday.

Iran Press/Iran News: Speaking at a meeting of the heads of the specialized committees of the National Task Force for Fighting Coronavirus on Thursday, Iran's President Hassan Rouhani said: "The first phase has been implemented with the creation of broad restrictions on the closure of many businesses, and the second phase with smart social distancing that led to the reopening of businesses and the division of cities into three levels: red, yellow, and white."

Stating that the third step in managing the coronavirus is to co-exist with it through full complying with the protocols, the President said: "The phase begins as both local and international experts have announced that no end can be set for the epidemic at the moment."

Rouhani also highlighted that with the experience of smart social distancing, the country should enter the stage of ensuring the health of the people by observing the health protocols while continuing socio-economic activities.

He continued: "Planning for the Coronavirus Adaptation Stage is essential with full compliance with the instructions, which is based on what the specialists have defined and it would include changing lifestyles and approaches and the ways to working."
