Tehran(IP): Coronavirus has targeted the tourism industry all over the world, Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicraft Ali Asghar Mounesan said.

Iran PressIran news: On the sideline of his visit to a handicraft workshop in Tehran, Mounesan attended among the journalists, and in response to Iran Press question about the effects of coronavirus on tourism said that tourism industry reached zero at this juncture while facing coronavirus pandemic and Iran was not an exception.

He went on to say that stagnation in tourism was predicted until the end of 2020, but fortunately, tourism is resuming its activity.

Referring to the tourism industry inside the country,Mounesan said that in the last holidays in our country more than two million people traveled across the country and it will be better in the summer.

The minister asked people to observe health protocols if they plan to take trips. He also referred to foreign tourism and said that this issue is investigated and we hope that we can resume foreign tourism from the next month like many countries of the world.
