Tehran (IP) - The Head of the research center of Corona Management Operations Headquarters in Tehran announced the implementation of more than 2,300 research projects to find an effective treatment for COVID-19, launched by Iranian researchers.

Iran Press/Iran News: "So far, about 10,000 articles have been published on COVID-19 worldwide, which of 280 articles belong to Iranian researchers," Hossein Ghena'ati said on Wednesday. 

He also referred to the conduct of clinical trials in the field of coronavirus treatment methods in Iran, adding: "215 Corona clinical trials are currently underway to provide better services to patients."

The official also pointed to producing serological diagnostic kits for ELISA tests, disinfectants, and ventilators as the achievements of Iranian researchers in this field.

Over 5.6 million people around the world have now been confirmed to have the coronavirus. More than 352,000 people have died globally while some 2.4 million people have recovered.
