Iran’s Vice President for Science and Technology said the mass production of corona test kits by Iranian knowledge-based companies has met the domestic needs and prepared grounds for export to 8 countries.

Iran PressIran News: In his trip to Bushehr Province, south of Iran, Sorena Sattari told the reporters that currently, Iran produces one million serology kits per day and 1.5 million PCR diagnostic kits per month, part of which is used by the health ministry and the rest exported.

Noting that no anti-corona equipment is imported, Sattari said approximately all the equipment provided in hospitals and their ICUs including ventilators and diagnostic kits are produced within the country.

He pointed to the efforts kicked off to develop drugs and vaccines and added that the Vice Presidency for Science and Technology has comprehensive plans for implementation to reach a surge in the production chain.
