Iran Press/ Iran News: In response to the allegation of the US Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs, Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced in a Tweet on Tuesday: "Iran has a strong relationship with Afghanistan and is a pioneer in helping Afghan leaders to establish an inclusive government."
"What happened for migrants in the province of Herat is catastrophic, but the US regime's accusation against Iran is the humor of history," Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs added.
Earlier on Saturday, some anti-Iran TV channels have claimed about 50 Afghan migrants crossing into Iran illegally were beaten and thrown into a river by Iranian border guards.
In the meantime, acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan, Mohammad Haneef Atmar called for refraining from any speculations in this regard.
