Iran increases electricity export to neighboring countries

Tehran (IP) - The amount of electricity export of Iran to the neighboring countries in 2019 increased by 27% compared to the previous year (2018) to over 8 billion kilowatt-hours.

Iran PressIran news: In 2019, the Islamic Republic of Iran exported power to Armenia, the Republic of Azerbaijan, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq, and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

Iraq with more than 82 percent, Afghanistan with 9.7 percent, Pakistan with 6.4 percent and Armenia with 0.7 percent respectively, have received Iran's electricity exports in 2019.

Iran's electricity exports in the current year (2020) have reached 436 million kWh, indicating a 19-percent increase compared to the previous year and showing that the positive trend of Iran's electricity exports continues.
